The 45 series spading machines are used primarily for general agriculture, as well as tree nurseries. The larger size of the spade arms allows for greater working depth, which means that the soil can be worked beneath the plow pan at an increased forward speed. At a working depth of 30 cm (12”), the machine is operating well within its capacity so that driving speed can be increased. The size of the spade bites is also increased with a faster forward speed, so in order to obtain the same cultivation of the soil at these higher speeds, a power take-off speed of 1000 rpm is generally used.

Use
Larger agricultural and horticultural operations. This machine is excellent for mixing in large amounts of organic material such as green manure, straw, manure, compost, lime or other fertilizers and amendments. The 45 series also comes in several versions, and under certain conditions the machine can be equipped with spading knives, which are specially designed to prevent the machine from becoming clogged.

The machines can also be supplied with a rotovator (F) or power harrow (H). By fitting an extra 3-point linkage to the machine, a seed drill or bed former can be attached which enables the soil to be cultivated and sown in a single pass.
